Open Workout 16.1

Complete as many rounds and reps as possible in 20 minutes of:
25-ft. overhead walking lunge
8ย bar facing burpees
25-ft. overhead walking lunge
8 chest-to-bar pull-ups

Men lunge 95 lb.
Women lunge 65 lb.

Post rounds completed to comments and/or register and submit your score as part of the 2016 Reebok CrossFit Games Open.

    burpees were the worst. so happy my c2b are finally coming together.
    reached my 2 lofty goals of getting 150 reps and no hand rips. so i am very pleased. great job everyone! loved the energy in the gym this morning!

    Lunges killed me on this one. My perpetual hamstring nonsense screwed me. Burpees actually the easiest but winded by the time I got to the c2b. Went singles the whole way.

    Thanks to all the coaches and cheer squad. On to the next one!

    Butt is feeling those lunges today! Hope everyone is sitting in a foam roller tonight.

    Some intervals to flush out the legs…

    Every 6 min for 6 rounds:
    250m row
    12 hand power cleans @115/75
    250m run
    Fastest 2:40, slowest 2:50

    Every :30 for 10 min (20 rounds)
    2 touch and go cleans (squat) @52kg (115lbs)

    EMOM x7
    8 HSPU

      If you enjoy pain, roll out that booty. As for relieving soreness, not sure it’s worth your time. See controlled butt soreness study 2015.

  6. This post should be titled “No where to go but up” – Could not finish the 3rd round of CTB pull ups – did about 19 or so and only got credit for 3. My lungs werent on fire after the lunges and burpees so I really felt like I could have gotten 4 + rounds but spent 8 minutes trying to finish the c2b’s.

    Something to work on (in addition to all the “other stuff”)

    Join the open, they said. It’s fun. While I was doing it felt great. Got to work and felt invincible. Woke up Saturday; felt like I aged 5 years overnight. So many aches.

      Love this post! I’m also on the “5 years overnight” bus. Feels like someone hung me up by my wrists and beat my hamstrings with a baseball bat.

      Discomfort is proportional to adaptation!
