14 squats-last time I remember not staying down between all rounds. This is a big improvement.

B2B Tabata Squats – 14. I’ve never done this B2B version so I didn’t have a benchmark. I was shooting for 15 after round 1 but after round 2 I chickened out. I think 15 is a good goal. I think I’ll try shaking out my legs quickly at the top once per round next time.
Death by 10 – 16. Thanks 6 AMers for the help getting through the last one! I think 17 is definitely feasible for me although it’s a big difference from 16 since there’s no rest in between.
@Vikram – I miss you buddy! Get well soon.
@Jared – These Modern BCAAs are ruining my normally tasty protein drink. Yuck! I better see some improvements.
AVA – you have no idea how much I miss my Crossfit family. My wife just told me to quit moping…back at it tomorrow, hopefully. Going back into the office today.
Jared/Mike got me onto BCAAs too. Have to say that they’ve worked for me.

Death by 10: 14 – I think I have a little more in me but this workout is still deceiving.
I fell up the subway stairs this morning. My legs are so tired after these past few days, especially today, that I couldn’t lift them up fast enough to keep up with the crowd. Rest day tomorrow!

Started at 14 for the first few, dropped to 13 then to 12 but @ Adam Van Auken started to get pretty intense in the last few rounds…lots of yelling going on! π got back to 14. Thanks Adam!
Death by 10: completed 15, couldn’t even start the 16 so I dropped out.
Tabata squats + sprints = awkward looks from co-workers when I yelp trying to get up & sit at my desk. π

Tabata squats: 15, although I got as high as 18. Next time, we should do this with some weight! Tabata front squats are the only way to fly.

My 10 year old nephew Liam (the one in the red shirt who is Jared’s height) told me the following after his 2 training sessions.
“Brendan is a very good squatter, and is almost as good me. It took him 15 year to squat like that, but it took me only 2 days, because I’m a natural.”
He has challenged Brendan to a squat-off when he comes back next year. I have to say, he is far and away the best squatter in the family.
